Statement of Interest (1st Choice)

I am seeking to Chair the Social Action Committee.

Member of State of GA Social Action Committee / Assistant KRS November 1, 2021 – present
Attended and participated in the following Virtual State of GA Leadership Training sessions to gain insights that generated next-level reporting (December 7 -16, 2021): Keeper of Records & Seal, Public Relations/ Reports/Oracle Submission, Committee Chairs, Foundations/Fundraising, and State Report and Scoring Process.

● Served as Lambda Phi Social Action Chair: Gave back 10,832 pounds of food, impacted 3,310 families, and influenced 50 African Americans to receive COVID-19 vaccination and more.

● Educated membership on current guidelines for submission of competitive reporting (December 8, 2021).

● Reviewed, edited, and submitted one of eight 1st Quarter Fatherhood Initiative and Youth Mentoring winning packages that exceeded the criteria. The chapter was awarded a $400 stipend from the State of GA FIMC Chairman to improve activities. The article was featured in the Fatherhood Initiative and Mentoring Newsletter ( 2nd Quarter Edition, 2022).

● Complied, strengthened and storyboarded the Chapter of the Year and Social Action Reports. The chapter received the Region III Large Graduate Chapter of the Year Award 2021-22. Additionally, my leadership skills led to the award of $1,000 for the Chapters FI&YM contents displayed in the Chapter of the Year Report.

● In the absence of the committee chair, I developed and presented at the Voter Empowerment meeting specific talking points that provided a unified strategy for all chapters throughout GA.

● Served as chapter reporter, cataloged and submitted quarterly reports to the State Social Action Chair.

These leadership characteristics will assist me in building and leading an effective team to address the current issue of social activities like blood drives, and domestic violence. These qualifications will ensure that all chapters within the state of GA are held accountable for completing or attempting to complete our mandated programs and not just holding events. Social Action is more than grading reports and gathering information for the state report but is about creating a moment within the state by working together with other reputable organizations. I am dedicated, disciplined, and committed.

Statement of Interest (2nd Choice)

I am seeking to Chair the Retention Committee.

Member, State of GA Reclamation & Retention Committee, November 1, 2020 - present
● Served on the Reclamation and Retention Committee for the past two years under Brother Walker and served on the Chapter Reclamation and Retention Committee.

One of my jobs while serving on active duty was to analyze data to include retention rates in specific career fields. The key elements to successful retention should focus on investing time, and principles, and the sponsors must stay engaged along with other brothers. I noticed that our retention rates increased because people felt valued and know that would invest in their growth and development. My 23 years of leadership skills will allow us to build an effective team from the majority of the chapters and hold chapters accountable for completing these programs.
