1963-1964 ROBERT (BOB) CHURCH (OMEGA CHAPTER) FORT VALLEY, LAMBDA PHI
STATE OF GEORGIA ADMINISTRATIVE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Was appointed by the office of the 7th District Representative
as the first Georgia State Representative
- Implemented and adopted the Mardi Gras as a Chapter Scholarship fundraiser
- Appointed the first State of Georgia Regional Representatives
- Instrumental in the Chartering of numerous Graduate and Undergraduate Chapter.
- Implemented the first Scholarship Sweetheart Ball fundraiser
- Conducted Chapter Initiations and Investigations.
DISTRICT INTERNATIONAL IMPACT:
- Created and hosted the first 7th District Meeting. The meeting was held in Fort Valley, Georgia. The district at that time consisted of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
- Introduced the concept of a fund raiser costume dance to the Fraternity. The dance later was named the Omega Mardi Gras

“As the 2nd Georgia State Representative, the administration was instrumental in the initial growth and development of the Georgia State Organization, its chapters and members.”
During this administration, Georgia chartered 5 undergraduate chapters and 1 graduate chapter consisting of the following:

- Implement the Senior Advisor Positions.
- Co-authored the writing of the first Georgia State Constitution & Bylaws along with the 4th Georgia State Representative, Bro. David Brown.
- Increased Grad & Undergrad participation relative to the Fraternity’s Mandated Programs.
- Participated in the period of expansion, internal development, and formation of Chapters throughout the State of Georgia.
- Initiated the first Undergrad Pledge Line at Georgia Southwestern – 1987.
- Presided at my First State Meeting – 1985 – Hosted by Mu Beta Beta Chapter Thomasville, Georgia.
- Presided at my Second State Meeting – 1986 – Hosted by Eta Omega Chapter Atlanta, Georgia.

- Served as the 6th Executive Director of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
- Received the International Omega Man of the Year Award.
- Received the Distinguished Service & Leadership Award of the Year from the Seventh District.

- Chaired the Transportation Committee for the Omega World Headquarters Celebration.”

As State Representative for the past three years, I could not have accomplished truly significant things by myself. It takes the cooperation of an active State Council, the dedication of the local graduate and undergraduate chapters, and the support of the great communities we serve across this state. We are blessed to have all of these things and I’m honored to have led the work of the Georgia State Organization and represent you.
Some of the major accomplishments we have made together and stand proud of include:
Keeping the State finances strong and healthy
- Monitored spending and came in under budget every year
- Attracted corporate sponsors (AARP, SunTrust, Corporate Temps, Miller Coors, U.S. Coast Guard) to underwrite annual State Workshop
- Res-structured budget to allow understanding and transparency to the brotherhood
- Increased reserves
Implementing Fraternity Initiatives
- Vote or Cry voter empowerment initiatives saw local chapters increase voter registrations, sponsor candidate forums and work the polls during the presidential election
2013 - 2016 CRAIG JACKSON MACON, LAMBDA PHI
STATE OF GEORGIA ADMINISTRATIVE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Secured the Omega license plate (received initial check from DOT for $10,000)
- Partnered with the National Kidney Foundation (initial donation $1000 to NKF)
- Partnered with AARP
- Implemented Regional training for chapters’ KRS and KF
- Raise State dues from $10 to $12.50
- Introduced the Buck Crosby Bridge Builder Award
- Passed recommendation for Life Membership for State of Georgia
- Chartering Ceremony for Zeta Mu Nu graduate chapter Clayton/Henry counties
- Chartering Ceremony for Alpha Delta Alpha undergraduate chapter (Armstrong)
- Held the first Youth Mentoring program at the 53rd State meeting
- Implemented the Historian committee

- Revived the “The Small Graduate Chapter of the Year Program” after a 10 years hiatus allowing smaller Graduate Chapters the opportunity for recognition
- Created the ‘Continuity Book” for Undergraduate Chapters (One stop pdf, containing all pertinent information for Chapter operations, by laws, MSP, chapter reporting, scholarship applications and a plethora of items for the betterment of Chapters)
- Researched, Establish and Executed the GA Life Member Program to existence
- Created and established specialized Leadership Training for Chapter Officers held in November and December, concentrating on duties and responsibilities
- Managed the largest three State meetings in 7th District history (2017, 364 registered) (2018, 420 registered) (2019, 474 registered)
- Established Partnership with the GA Department of Public Health (Fatherhood Program)
- Established Partnership with GA Department of Department of Human Services (Fatherhood Program), bringing assistance with job training, job placement, GED training and the waiving of driver license suspensions to African-Americans non-custodial fathers (annual grant of $17,500 each year)
- Established the Youth Leadership Conference for the annual State Meeting
- Introduced an annual career fair for Undergraduates during the annual State Meeting
- Planned, Organized and Executed strategy to deliver the GA State Omega Psi Phi Fraternity license plate
- Lobbied the GA State General Assembly and Governor’s office for the passage of HB 736, enabling the State Organization to receive funds for Scholarship, to the tune of $75,000 during his tenure
- Created lapel pins; tags, Omega Day at the Capitol, Military Veterans, Undergraduate Advisors, Educators and State Representative Coin for Excellence

STATE OF GEORGIA ADMINISTRATIVE HIGHLIGHTS:
Administrative Theme: Proceed With C.A.R.E (Commitment, Accountability, Responsibility, and Excellence) (Note: Most of this administration was operated in a nationwide pandemic state due to the Covid-19 Virus)
- Created and implemented Basileus Checklist
- Received Approval from the State Legislature to add a revenue generating Omega motorcycle tag.
- Chapters across the State engaged in the partnership with the New GA Project to register and mobilized over 5,000 voters.
- Chapters Across the State organized, led, and participated is marches and peaceful protests demanding justice and change, highlighted by:
- Lambda Tau (Brunswick) led a march and rally to demand justice for Ahmaud Arbery and donated $20,000 to the family.
- The Metro Atlanta Baselei led a march and rally demanding community policing, a hate crime law (passed), removal of citizen’s arrest law and the ending of mass incarceration in communities of color.
- Chapters across the state purchased and provided meals for essential workers and first responders
- Commissioned several Boreholes in Ghana through the efforts of the Military Affairs Committee
- Partnered with other D9 organizations and civic organizations to pull off what was called the GA Miracle (2020 Elections/2021 Runoff Election)
- Converted one-day in-person training to an 8-day Virtual Leadership Training for all Chapter Leaders and those interested in leadership. (1. Reporting and Scoring Process 2. - Revitalized and updated Chapter reporting guidelines and utilized online portal to submit reports.
- Conducted Fatherhood Initiative and Mentoring Series of Virtual Workshops targeting Black student struggles in the virtual education setting and what could be done to help.
