Purpose

The purpose of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Georgia Hall of Fame committee is to select Omega men, from the State of Georgia, who have been nominated for making signiﬁcant contributions at the Chapter, State, District and International Levels of the Fraternity.

Georgia State Hall of Fame Committee

The Hall of Fame Committee is a joint committee of the State of Georgia Organization made up of the chairman, one brother from each of the ﬁve Regions within the State, the Vice State Representative, and two at-large brothers appointed by the State Representative. The State Representative serves as an ex oﬃcio member of the committee.

Requirements for Nomination

Must have a minimum of 25 consecutive years of active (ﬁnancial) service in the fraternity. (All 25 years do not have to be in Georgia).
Must be currently active (ﬁnancial) with a chapter in the state of Georgia at the time of nomination or have entered Omega Chapter while being an active member of a chapter in Georgia or extreme insinuating circumstances has cause for the nominee to leave Georgia.
Must have a documented record of outstanding service to the GA State Organization. If a nominee enters Omega chapter before serving 25 years and has made signiﬁcant contributions, he is eligible for nomination.
Must upload a headshot of the nominee. Accepted ﬁle types: jpg, png, pdf, Max, ﬁle size 100MB.

Nomination Process

The following procedure must be followed when submitting nominations for the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Georgia Hall of Fame.

Review Process

All applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of ﬁve brothers representing each region, the 1st Vice State Representative and two members at large appointed by the State Representative.

If a committee member nominates a candidate, that committee member must recuse themselves from that individual candidate’s scoring.

GEORGIA HALL OF FAME SCORING SHEET

SECTION I – Impact nominee had at the Chapter level. (0-15 pts)
SECTION II – Impact nominee had at the State level. (0- 50 pts)
SECTION III – Impact nominee had at the 7th District level. (0- 15 pts)
SECTION IV – Impact nominee had at the International level. (0-5 pts)
SECTION V – Impact nominee had in community/profession. (0-15 pts)

The nominees receiving the highest scores will be vetted by the committee for induction into the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Georgia Hall of Fame.

ONLY 4 nominees can be inducted into the Georgia Hall of Fame each Conclave year.

Hall of Fame Awards

Inductees will receive the following:

Recognition at the Georgia State Meeting Founder’s Banquet
A commemorative award will be presented
Picture will be placed w/significant information on the State Website
Engraved Omega Ring (Living Brothers Only)
