The Delta Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the 'New Ques on the Block', held their first Formal Chapter meeting on May 1, 2008 at Dunwoody High School. The chapter received their official charter at the 7th District meeting in Tunica, MS in April. This has been a long and tedious process in getting the chapter established as the chapter was able to reclaim a substantial number of brethren in the original thirty-one (31) charter members
At this first formal meeting, the chapter was visited by the Georgia State Representative, James Cistrunk. Brother Cistrunk congratulated the brothers on establishing the chapter and then gave an impassioned speech on the importance of the duty of operating a chapter, especially a new chapter. He discussed such critical items such as the mandated programs the chapter must adhere to, the new Membership Selection Process, the insurance requirements for chapter activities, and the upcoming conclave in Birmingham, AL. After Brother Cistrunk's comments and finishing the meeting agenda, the brothers of Delta Mu Mu took their first formal chapter pictures and later fraternized over a meal. Now officially established, the chapter will continue to meet the on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Dunwoody High School.
